Chile’s wine growing regions are in the area known as the Central Zone, exactly between parallels of latitude south 30º y 40º.

The wine growing valleys of Chile, concentrated in the country’s central regions, present characteristics that have a positive effect on the quality of the winemaking process.  The richness of its soils, its Mediterranean climate and geographic diversity favor the vines’ growth and budding process, influence water and vineyard management and the harvest.  All these factors combine to ensure ideal grape ripeness and a relatively stable harvest year after year.

The Molina area, in the Curico Valley, has been for centuries an important agricultural center in Chile’s Central Zone.  The area is in the Mataquito River basin, where the Rivers Teno and Lontué combine to form the Mataquito River.
Its climate is characterized by morning fog and wide day-night temperature fluctutations.  The climate favors wines with higher acidity, such as white varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Vert and Gris.  In the warmer areas of the valley, such as Lontué, high quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère wines are obtained, particularly those produced from ancient vines.

The Curico Valley is a traditional wine growing region with Mediterranean climate, well-defined seasons and wide daily temperature fluctuation.  The various soil and climate characteristics of this valley make it a privileged area for growing diverse quality grape varieties and in turn produce a wide range of high quality wines.

The Maule Valley has a wide range of micro climates and soils, which favors growth of numerous wine grape varieties.
