The Curico Valley Wine Route S.A. (Ruta del Vino Valles de Curicó S.A.)was formed on January 2, 2002, date in which it was legally constituted as a closed joint stock company by public deed, in presence of the Public Notary of Curico, Mr. Eduardo de Rodt Espinoza.

The Curico Valley Wine Route S.A. is directed by a five-member Board of Directors, elected by the General Assembly, a meeting which is ordinarily held twice a year.

The Board of Directors is currently composed by the following members:

Secretary        : Cristián Aguayo, Viña Valdivieso

The Board is chosen for a one-year period. It must have regular work meetings once a month to decide and define proposals and/or implementation of the company’s plans, programs and activities that contribute to the attainment of its objectives.

Among the challenges of the new Board of Directos is guiding team work to promote and enhance the quality of the Curico Valley wines, Chile’s largest wine producing region. These products have an appellation of origin that applies to vineyards located at the foot of the Andes Mountains up to those situated near the Pacific Ocean.  These products and lands are also considered “tourist attractions”, which adds value to the wine industry.  The region’s gastronomy, history, customs and culture make Curico Valley a unique place to visit and experience all its attractions.

The associated wineries are: AltaCima, Aresti, Bodegas y Viñedos Dussaillant, Correa Albano, Echeverría, Inés Escobar, Las Pitras, Mario Edwards, Miguel Torres, Millamán, San Pedro, Santa Hortensia, Valdivieso and Viñedos Puertas. They represent a diversity of style ranging from traditional, prestigious boutique wineries with historic country seats and century-old parks, to large exporting wineries with state-of-the-art winemaking technology.
