Curicó Valley Wine Route invites you to participate in the actions of the “cultivando saber y sabor” program, activities which will be carried out in Curicó in order to introduce and promote the local production.
“Cultivando saber y sabor, Curicó Wine Route” is the name of the new program to position Curicó Valley wines, which mainly tries to generate a local wine consumption culture by means of training and tasting activities in Curicó. The innovative project will have the participation of 12 wineries, and will also include restaurants, malls, professionals of the gastronomic area and public in general, to discover and enjoy Curicó Valley wines.
The activity will join the following wineries: AltaCima, Aresti, Correa Albano, Las Pitras, Echeverría, Folâtre, Miguel Torres, Millamán, Requingua, San Pedro, Valdivieso and Viñedos Puertas and it will start with free trainings to waiters, and at the same time events to introduce their wines to the specialized press will also be performed.
It is important to say that the project, financed by SERCOTEC by means of the Territorial Development Initiative program and sponsored by Curicó’s Town Council, Molina’s Town Council and Sernatur Maule, will finish in January, 2015 and will include master classes of introduction to the wine world, service, pairing, apart from information and promotion actions of the tourist activity.
“During four months we will work intensely on the diffusion and promotion of the Curicó wines, in this first stage all the actions will be performed within Curicó, then to a regional level, to finish introducing our wines in other markets like the luxury restaurants and hotels from Santiago”, indicated Jaime Valderrama L., Curicó Wine Route President.
New MIX Case
Among the news of this program to position Curicó Valley wines, it is a new product launching: “Curicó Valley Selection”. It is a wine case with a mix of different varieties, which will offer the widest and most diverse wines arrray to satisfy all tastes; a case of 6 bottles with two categories: classic white and red and premium.
“With this selection of wines from Curicó, we want to answer to the requirements of the gastronomic businessmen from Curicó, Molina and the whole Curicó coast, who want to increase their offer of local brands, in order to build a tourist product from the very identity of the destination”, declares Alejandra Inda F., Curicó Valley Wine Route manager.
