Aresti Wine of Chile is a family-owned winery founded in 1951, when Don Vicente Aresti Astica and father-in-law Don Alfredo López decided to settle in the Curico Valley.Their conviction that fine wines could be produced here led to the acquisition of new lands and investment in technology. From 1999 onwards, the winery began marketing its wines under the Aresti brand.
Since then, the family has dedicated great effort and its knowledge of the business to produce wines of the highest quality, which have received important distinctions. Today, over 50 years later, the Aresti brand is a symbol of worldwide quality wines.
The longing and quest for the sheer endless gold treasures of the New World have captivated mankind’s imagination like few other endeavors. The history of wine-growing in Chile began with the conquest of South America by the Spanish conquistadores 500 years ago. In places where they had originally been searching for gold treasures, the conquistadores soon began cultivating wine; firstly, for their own consumption and secondly, because they needed ceremonial wine for their religious services. Thus, the first vineyards developed especially in the vicinity of religious centers.
Today, Chile is home to a generation of vintners, enologists and entrepreneurs who are passionately developing exceptional wines. Therefore, Chile counts as one of the most innovative wine-growing countries in the world.
ESPIRITU DE CHILE arose from the passion two family-owned companies shared for wine and from their dream to create wines of exceptional quality and unmistakable character.
ESPIRITU DE CHILE is a joint wine project of two family-owned companies, the A. Racke wine company in Bingen, Germany, and the Chilean winery Aresti Wine of Chile in Molina, Chile.
